Sandustry guide
Start by scouting for a base with a large water source, abundant sand, and open building space. Use water and sand to establish early Gold production, spend Gold on Research, then replace manual hauling with conveyors, launchers, filters, pumps, and pipes. Explore beyond the factory for Fluxite, augments, creatures, and alien Artifacts as your technology expands.

Use the minimap and objective arrows to scout for a base with a large water source, abundant sand, and open construction space. Explore beyond the base because underground Fluxite, augments, creatures, ancient ruins, and alien Artifacts are tied to progression. A single complete coordinate map is not supported by the collected sources, so exact locations are To be confirmed.

Press C to select a structure, copy it with Ctrl+C, then open Building → Blueprint and save the selection from Clipboard History. Export creates a Blueprint string that another player can paste through Import. Ctrl+V pastes or previews the copied structure, and Ctrl+H flips it.

For the Early Access game, open Steam Library, right-click Sandustry, choose Properties, open Game Versions & Betas, and switch to the Mods branch. Restart Steam if the Workshop does not appear, then use the official Workshop for mods and maps. FluxLoader belongs to the Demo workflow and should not be the default Early Access instruction.

Sandustry water
Find Water in surface lakes or underground deposits, or obtain it by melting Ice, letting Steam reach the sky and fall as rain, or using Lumlings. One Sand plus one Water makes two Wet Sand, while one Seed plus one Water makes one Wet Seed. The official Wiki also describes a sustainable Water cycle using Steam, rain, and Cryoblaster-created Snow.

Do not use the Shovel or Gun on Crackstone because the current official Wiki says neither tool damages it. Every other digging tool is listed as able to destroy Crackstone in the current Early Access guidance. It drops nothing, so break it only as a terrain obstacle rather than farming it for resources.

Grow a Wet Seed into a Flower on a Planter Box, then harvest the Flower for four Amethelis and one Gold. Process Amethelis into Dry Amethelis, heat it into Florin, condense Florin into Florinol, and place Florinol in a Florinol Battery to produce Energy. Move Amethelis with Conveyor Belts, Launchers, or an Aerokinetic Fan for large piles.

Find early Fluxite by exploring and digging small underground deposits. Spend it on Upgrades for tools, weapons, and drones; use Gold for Research instead. Later, research the Flux Emanator for 2000 Gold and feed it Voidbloom to produce Fluxite.

Explore the dunes and deeper world to recover alien Artifacts, then later research the Locator for 3000 Gold. Fill the Locator with Voidjuice so it can scan for hidden Artifacts. Artifact Rooms contain puzzles, but a complete current list of Artifact locations, names, and effects is To be confirmed.

Sandustry aura
Process Aurixite in a Shaker to obtain Auralite, then use the Tier 6 Aura Extractor to attract Auralite and convert it into Auralite Crystals. Select the Extractor and target a Crystal with the nanobot swarm to break it down into Aura. Aura is a non-physical late-game currency used for Research, including Swarm Zoning.
Read verified guide →Sandustry kinetic press
Unlock the Kinetic Press at Research Tier 2 for 500 Gold, then drop Burnt Residue onto it from at least 25 blocks above. A successful input falls through the Press and produces one Gold plus one Seed from the bottom. Short drops or incorrect materials stay on top and can block the machine, so use angled Launchers to remove stagnant pixels.
